Day 3 - 30 Days of Gorgeousness - Karen Montague

I cant even remember when I first saw Karen Montague - but when I did my first thought was statuesque. And her bikini - WOW.

When Karen walks on stage everyone looks at her.   I used to tell her very often that she was like a pure breed on stage.  Over the years she has gained confidence with the stage, she holds herself well and acts professional all the time.  Competitors look up to her but she wouldnt even recognise that. She is very modest to the core.    I can't even remember if I ever saw her in the novice ranks. It seemed to me she was immediately up there with the open class girls.  Karen (Monty)  has been a friend and client of mine for a long time. I am so lucky to gain long term friendships with the girls who I have trained or mentored. They eventually move on but they are still friends for sure.  I'm very "blessed" to have formed these friendships in the first place which is why I am recognising those chicks dear to my heart on my new website.  It is my celebration of gorgeousness and friendships formed by the sport we love or simply for the love of fitness.

Now about Monty. I texted Monty a few questions this evening and she replied by stating this " Hello Jo Baby, I did my first competition in 2005 ( and is still currently competing).  I was in the top 10 at the Arnold 2012  representing NZ and ended up placing 5th" She went on to say that she has competed between 30-35 times and 2014 is the first year that she will not be competing due to regular work travel.  Awesome Monty, give somebody else a chance to win says me..

Occasionally I get an email from Monty asking me to design her a new programme. I almost jump up and down with excitement just because  she has asked me.  It is a privilidge and I put 100% into developing something for her specifically cos I know she is going to work it to hell.  What I would really love is for her to turn up to Wolfs Gym in Henderson so I can kick her butt in person. Are you up for the challenge Monty?

You can check Monty out on her facebook page here if she accepts your request but in the meantime enjoy the few pictures I have added for you and you can read Montys review on the Arnold here
